Our team of helpful humans has been hard at work as usual, upgrading the Instabot platform, so you can get even more out of it for your organization.

We’re excited to release our expanded Salesforce integration, designed for enhanced customer experience. It builds onto our existing Salesforce integration, and introduces the chat plugin. Read on for more detail, and how you can use it.

Introducing the Salesforce Chat plugin

If you’re already using Instabot with Salesforce, you’ll know it’s easy to connect up both via our direct integration, and sync your qualified leads automatically with Instabot. Now, we’ve added full support of Salesforce Live Chat. Which means you can use Instabot in front of Salesforce Live Agents, too.

There are several benefits to using the plugin. You can now automate more interactions outside of Salesforce, and route the important ones to your sales reps while still responding to every single customer. This means you can deliver an enhanced, and consistently great, customer experience. Every single interaction a customer has with your brand can be both automated and positive.

This also, crucially, frees up your live agents, so they can focus on the high-value interactions that need their time and expertise. And everything is synced automatically with Salesforce, so they get the information they require quickly and automatically. They no longer have to worry about wasting time on repetitive tasks, mind-numbing admin, or unqualified leads - and can instead prioritize what they do best: Make sales.

How to use the Salesforce chat integration

Just follow this step-by-step guide.

1. Log in to your account on Instabot Portal as admin. Go to the Integrations tab and find the Salesforce chat plugin. Click on the plugin. There is a page with a small form consisting of the Salesforce logo and button Connect. Click the button.

2. After connecting, there will be a form with three fields – Host, Organization ID, Deployment ID. All the data is available by creating your own Salesforce account. Fill in all these fields.

3. Go to Bot Management and create your own bot or open an existing bot. Salesforce chat node should not be the first one. Add Name (mandatory) and Email Address nodes first (optional), then add the Salesforce chat node.

Enhanced Salesforce integration

Alongside Salesforce Chat, we’ve added the ability for you to choose when a new lead should or shouldn’t be created. This is a new setting designed for you to toggle between ‘Always’ and ‘Only when contact doesn’t exist’, so you can keep your CRM data streamlined.

This setting is available to all Instabot users. Here’s where you can find it on the Salesforce integration page within the Instabot platform:
